The Outreach Ministry of Great Bridge West is committed to ministering to "the least of these".  This ministry is responsible for reaching out to the community through special community events. Below, you will find areas of outreach:

Prison Ministry

The GodChasers, a group from Great Bridge West, had been ministering the first Sunday of each month at the Southampton Correctional Center.  However, this prison is scheduled to be closed in January 2009.  Great ministry took place during the 2+ years that his group ministered to the inmates at this location.  GodChasers have also had the opportunity of ministering at Deerfield Correctional Center.  At this time, we are praying for another open door to minister to prisons in the area.

East Pavilion Nursing Home

The third Saturday of each month Great Bridge West ministers to the precious residents at East Pavilion Nursing Home located in Franklin.  It is a great joy to sing with the residents and to minister the word to them. 

Southampton County Social Services

We have entered into a wonderful relationship with the County Social Services Department.  Through this, we have begin a "Backpack Giveaway" to children in the area that cannot afford the necessary school supplies at the opening of school.  We are also sponsoring families at Thanksgiving and Christmas to give them an enjoyable time during this wonderful time of year.  We plan to work with this agency in the future on projects that will minister to families in Southampton County.
