Since the end of October, families from Great Bridge West Ministries begin bringing in food items that would assist in feeding 11 families in Southampton County for the Thanksgiving Holidays.  Eleven families may not seem like a lot, but when you look at the fact that those 11 families included 65 people it takes on a different meaning.

This was a new area of ministry for GB West and did they ever respond.  Last Friday, the items were not enough....but after Sunday we had so much food that our Outreach Directors gave several items to Southampton County Social Services for distribution.  This is truly the church being the church....helping those in need, especially during this time of the year.

I know that I am truly blessed to be able to lead such a wonderful group of people that love others and more importantly love God.  I thank everyone that brought any item...it made a difference.  I especially thank Richard and Sharen, Outreach Directors, Travis Joyner, and Deb Pagan (they helped deliver the food).

During this time of year, be sure to be thankful for the many blessings in your life.  Enjoy your time with family and be safe in any travels.
